“A man from Kentucky sure is lucky to live down in Bowling Green, “ sang the Everly Brothers. Its population of 50,000 makes BG the biggest city in southern Kentucky, but it has other claims to fame. It’s the place from which two Western Kentucky University faculty members and 11 students ventured out to document one-room schoolhouses. That marked the beginning of the Mountain Workshops. Today the university town is increasingly multicultural.
