Shouse, an Anderson County native has worked at the school for two and half years, "They want you to joke around with them like you do with your friends", said Shouse of the intelectually impaired students.

Eddy Shouse takes Carol Shaw and her doll from her dorm to class at Stewart Home School in Frankfort. Shaw, one of the older students at the school for intellectually challenged children and adults, occasionally needs a ride to class.

Eddy Shouse, attendance director at the Stewart Home School for intellectually challenged children and adults, wakes up Trey Weaterly, a student who fell asleep on straw that was spread where the grounds crew was trying to grow grass. Shouse's main job is to round up students who, for one reason or another, are not where they are supposed to be. "When you work here, nothing surprises you," he said.

The annual event has one student dress as the black cat, while every one else chases him. Orf can not get around as quickly as most, so this year, he taunted the chasing crowd from the back of the golf cart.
