Mayfield High School senior Alex Adams pushes long-time friend "Big John" Stevens down the street to his car after the senior football and cheerleading dinner at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, in downtown Mayfield. Stevens suffered a spinal stroke during football practice in his freshman year and was told he would "never walk again," yet he has recovered greatly. He walks with crutches and, still a great part of the Catdinals family, attends every Cardinals football game.
