Raining supreme

story by Christopher Southard

The deluge that slowed traffic and flooded creeks all over Calloway County also turned Murray High School’s football stadium into a mud pit.

But it failed to dampen the spirits of Murray’s fans, who cheered wildly as the Tigers
capped an undefeated season with a 24-7 win over Crittenden County. It wasn’t easy, though. With Crittenden leading midway through the third quarter, the Tigers had to regroup to achieve their lopsided victory. It was the first time this season that Murray has found itself trailing an opponent in the second half.
